We ask that you move smaller items of furniture and personal belongings away from the walls where possible. We will take care of sheeting up floors and any remaining furniture with dust sheets. For exterior work, we ask that you move any garden furniture, pots, or hanging baskets away from the walls being worked on.

New plaster needs to dry thoroughly before painting. This usually takes around 2-4 weeks depending on the time of year, ventilation, and heating in the room. The plaster will change from a dark pink/brown colour to a light, even cream colour when it is dry. We recommend applying a mist coat (watered-down emulsion) first before your topcoats.

Yes, we regularly remove or skim over Artex ceilings. If the Artex was applied before 2000, it may contain asbestos and will need testing before removal. We can advise you on this and recommend testing services if needed. In many cases, we can skim directly over the Artex to create a smooth, modern finish.
